“Wow, thorough, fair, balanced”, “Bold”, “Transformative”, “Good work” and “Thank you” are some of the things Bridgeporters are saying about The People’s Platform, a new blueprint for Bridgeport centered around the people’s priorities, since it was released on March 25. With such positive responses we wanted to share some of the research numbers and public opinion that informed it, which show that Bridgeport residents agree that 2023 is our year of change.

In preparation for this year’s mayoral election Bridgeport Generation Now Votes commissioned a public opinion survey to hear directly from Bridgeport residents about what issues are important to them. The survey, conducted by Lake Research Partners polled 500 adults in Bridgeport by phone and text-to-online from August 8 – August 15, 2022. The data from the poll underscores the sentiments we’ve heard on the ground, across our neighborhoods in one-on-one conversations and at large community meetings and events.
